RE: Blu Ray Recommendations
I highly recommend the blu ray Gladiator this is my very first digi book and it looks very impressive. The digi book comes with two blu ray discs with the first disc containing two different cuts of the film, the cinema version and a extended cut, the second disc containing the extras. With it being a digi book you get loads of highly detailed full colour pages to do with the film, cast and crew it looks slick and well thought out in its presentation.
As for the picture quality this second master of the film as the film was released before on blu ray but the transfer on that was rubbish. With this new transfer the picture looks stunning, highly detailed with new 1080p transfer.
As for the second quality i highly recommend playing this through a home cinema system you hear everything from weapons and swords clashing with one know, the weapons cutting into people and even right down to the blood squirting out.
As for extras there tons here, no digital copy which would have been the icing on the cake and of course extras within the pages of the digi book it self.
With this being my first digi book i was very impressed with it and i will be on the look out for more digi books in the future. If your a fan of the film or never had a digi book before i would highly recommend picking this up as its around £8.99 on most sites and there's loads of other digi books available too like Jaws etc etc.

RE: Blu Ray Recommendations
I highly recommend The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Limited Edition Steel Book, now normally i would waited for the extended cut version which will be out later this year but i found the steel book for £9.99 and normally its anything from £23 - £30 and i simply had to pick it up at that price, I'll still pick the extended version and will end up keeping the steel book one as a collectors item.
The steel book looks stunning with Bilbo Baggins on the front and on the back Gandalf and in the inside a map of middle earth.
The picture quality as always is a 1080p transfer, the transfer is crisp and really detailed with no grain in site its as good as the other Lord of Rings films when they were transferred to blu ray a stunning effort.
Sound quality is very impressive with a 5.1/DTS output it sounds amazing through a home cinema system.
As for extras theres over 2 hours worth, somethings telling me there saving most of the extras for the extended version of blu ray later this year, on the plus side you get a ultraviolet copy of the film something i was happy about considering that the previous films never came with one yet the region 1 blu ray boxset of the trilogy had them for each film. Almost forgot to say that it comes with two discs with the film being on one disc and the extras on the second disc.
The picture of steel book isn't mine as i don't know how to take a photo and scale it down so found a image off the net.

RE: Blu Ray Recommendations
I highly recommend the blu ray steel book of Rambo, now the one i picked up is the Dutch version of the film as its only steel book version of this film in europe which can play on uk blu ray player. The added bonus with this version is that its a limited edition and its the extended cut of the film.
The picture is stunning, crisp, clear and highly detailed especially in dark parts of the film, with this film being really bloody you really see the detail of the bloody, cuts and limbs being cut off not for the faint hearted and as always a 1080p transfer.
The sound quality just like the picture quality is stunning you get a 5.1 and DTS Master Audio transfer which makes and adds to film especially you playing it through a home cinema set up.
There a good few extras on here too, you get a great image of Rambo on the front of the steel book, the back looks like a normal print of blu ray and no inside art work but what makes this steel book different to normal steel books is that spine of case is metal where usually its plastic which can crack or get marked up.
The only negative thing is because the steel book is dutch, subtitles in the film are in dutch along with information on the back of case. But all in all its well worth picking up, i managed to get mine of Amazon uk for about £6.50 and now its £15 and i even even seen it for over £60, so if can find it cheap and you love the film its well worth picking up.

RE: Blu Ray Recommendations
Evil Dead: really good remake of the classic 80's horror film the evil dead. picture and sound is top notch and you get a lot of extras including a commentary.

GI Joe Retaliation 3D: good sequel to the very good first gi joe film, GI Joe the rise of cobra. comes on 2 blu ray discs. 1 bluray disc has a 3D verison of the film on it and the other blu ray disc has a 2D extended version of the film along with some extras

Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome: a very good prequel to the excellent battlestar galactica reboot that ran for 5 series a few years ago and is about a young willam adama who becomes commander adama in the battlestar reboot tv series, not many extras but for only £10.99 cant complain that much and is a must have if you are a massive battlestar galactica fan like I am

RE: Blu Ray Recommendations
Got three blu rays to recommend the first one is Bullet To The Head, its looks amazing on blu ray not a hint of grain on the transfer so the images always looks sharp and detailed. The sound quality again is very impressive as always you get a 5.1/DTS sound. As for extras not a lot here nor do you get a digital copy which is a little disappointing compared to the region 1 version which does but still worth picking up.
My second recommendation is Flight with Denzel Washington one of my fav actors and directed by Robert Zemeckis (Back To The Future Trilogy, Who Framed Roger Rabbit), again here a very impressive transfer and totally grain free so you left with smooth and sharp detailed images on your TV, the sound is great transfer with a 5.1/DTS transfer. Theres a few extras but again no digital copy which would have been a nice touch.
Lastly Gangster Squad which on blu ray looks stunning, as always a 1080p transfer, the film looks crystal clear, no grain, the film is just amazing to look at. The sound is very impressive as well with 5.1/DTs sound transfer you would really benefit having this hooked up via your home cinema system especially with the bullets flying around every where.
There's a few extras on the disc but again no digital copy unlike its region 1 counter part, but still worth having in your collection if you can find it for a good price.

RE: Blu Ray Recommendations
I highly recommend the blu ray Oblivion starring Tom Cruise, the version i picked up was the steel book one but there is a normal version of the blu ray which comes in a special frame packaging. On the front of the steel book you get a image of Tom Cruise a bridge and the back you get the image of the rest of the bridge. There's inside art work too making it a very striking looking steel book, i would have loved to have it given a gloss finish to the steel book but its impressive never the less.
As for the picture quality you get here a 1080p transfer and i have to say this has to be one best looking picture quality i have ever seen not only is the film highly detailed, but isn't any trace of any grain any where through out the whole film. You can tell they really put a lot effort in the transfer of this 10 out of 10 for the transfer.
The sound quality is amazing, you get here a 7.1 audio and DTS sound making the film sound stunning through a Home Cinema System again 10 out of 10 for the sound.
As for the extras its a little disappointing as there's only a hand full here, with deleted scenes and a making of, commentary feature and music score, all tho you do get a ultra-violet copy of the film.
All in all its well worth picking up whether its the steel book or normal frame blu ray.
