Killing Kennedy (2013) An interesting, involving film which packs a lot into its an hour and a half running time covering the last three years of JFK's and his assassin's Lee Harvey Oswald's life, both public and private, including their marital problems. There's even time to delve into the personalities of the main two protaganists. The main performances are all very good, Rob Lowe as Kennedy,Will Rothhaar as Oswald, Jack Noseworthy as Bobby, Ginnifer Goodwin as Jackie & Michelle Trachentenberg as Oswald's wife. To my mind, preferable to the rather overblown Oliver Stone film JFK.Also starring Casey Siemaszko(Jack Ruby), Richard Flood, Francis Guinan(Lyndon B Johnson) & Natalie Gold. 7.5/10

Young Adam (2003) Set in the 1950s, two bargemen pull a woman's body from the River Clyde but one of them may be holding secrets including secrets about her. Not stunningly exciting, but a well performed actor's piece with tension, sexual and otherwise, and where a look or a gesture means as much as words, and also interesting use of flashbacks. The main four cast members are very good, Ewan McGregor, Tilda Swinton, Peter Mullan & Emily Mortimer. Also starring Jack McElhone,Ewan Stewart & Therese Bradley. 6.5/10

The Accountant, first of the film has a fantastic cast Ben Affleck, Anna Kendrick, J.K. Simmons, Jon Bernthal (Frank Castle in Daredevil), Jeffrey Tambor, Cynthia Addai-Robinson (Amanda Waller in Arrow) and John Lithgow. As the title says Affleck is a Accountant but his no ordinary accountant as you'll when the film unfolds.
It's a bit of burner of a film and some may have issues with the pacing but for me personally I enjoyed and pay off as the film kicks off. Ben Affleck was great in the role I know some out there don't like him as a fit but I think his got better as his older and the subject that he has to pull is nothing short of fantastic in playing a character with autism and the young child actors where great too it all really hit the heart with the subject matter. J.K. Simmons again was fantastic such a great actor and has never done a bad film his performance is nothing short of great.
What I will say about the film is it's beautifuly shot, it's brutal in a John Wick kind of way and believe it or not it's actually funny with its dark comedy. There is a huge twist at the end which never do coming till certain events happen and the ending people in the cinema bursted out laughing. For me so far my fav film of the year really enjoyed it may not be for everyone with the slow build up but well worth it. There's actually a DC Comics Easter Egg in the film if you look closely. 9.5/10.

Spot on mate. He's also very good in a film called The Company Men(2010)with Tommy Lee Jones,Kevin Costner and Chris Cooper.

Barbary Coast(1935)
A Howard Hawks classic set during the gold rush of the 1850s. Mirriam Hopkins stars as the put upon wife of a crooked and cruel rich man,who in her desperate situation falls in love with an honest prospector. With great work from an excellent cast including Edward G.Robinson,Joel McCrae and Walter Brennan. The film once again features many of director Hawks' trademarks, such as overlapping dialogue and conversations and many characters in frame at the same time.
