US TV Shows - Discussion (Inc New Shows/Cancellations)

Season two of Touch starts next Tuesday at 8pm on Sky1HD.

great news person of interest will be coming back for a 3rd season. annouced on p.o.i facebook page.

there are 2 good police dramas on canadian tv at the moment, motive and cracked:
motive has a somewhat original twist on the police procedure show where by you are introduce to the killer and victim then after the titles, the homicide detectives are at the scene of the murder and has the detectives start putting the pieces together the motive is revealed at the end.
cracked is about new division with detectives being partnered with mental health experts, their job is to solve the crime and give the perp some dignity when being arrested or get help to those that need it before things get out of hand.

thats about 5 decent shows from canada that i have watched; king (their version of the closer), flashpoint (sad to see that end but ended while it is good), lost girl, continuum (which just gets more complicated), cracked and motive.

2nd of half season 1 of revolution will be very interesting. some shows are now reaching their season finale and one show will be ending soon, spartacus war of the damned has been excellent and have the feeling that the finale is going to epic.

watched the 1st 2 episodes of revolution tonight and not bad at all. like how the power went off pretty much right at the start of 1st episode rather than building up to the power going off at the end of the 1st.

will be watching to see how it carries on from a good solid start

each ep reveals people's story of the last 15 years and hopefully by the season end how and why the power went off.

cbs announced a during the week that ncis, ncis la, hawaii 50 and person of interest will be back. no word on criminal minds yet but i assume that it will be renewed has some of the cast sign up for each individual season also no word on golden boy which could be until the 1st season has finished to see what the ratings were like.

hannibal ep1 was good, mikkleson has hannibal is a very good choice. their version of graham is different to the book red dragon. sky living will be showing it not sure of the air date. all i know is that sky living is to show it shortly after it started in the states, could be a week or two after it started in the states.

eddie izzard and gillian anderson are some of the recurring/guest stars, anderson is lecter's shrink and izzard plays a prisoner in the cells in which we first see hannibal in during the silence of the lambs film/book.

im in the mood to watch hannibal raising, red dragon, silence of the lambs and hannibal back to back.

J. August Richards, who played Gunn on the Buffy The Vampire Slayer spin-off Angel, will be starring in a undisclosed role in the S.H.I.E.L.D. pilot.

Marvels new series has had the title changed from Marvel's S.H.I.E.L.D to "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.", the new synopsis reads like this:

series 2 of continuum has been picked up by syfy and will begin in the us early in june,hopefully to be shown here shortly afterwards,this series the episodes increase from 10 in series 1 to 13 in series 2

already started yesterday in canada on show case. it picks up where series 1 finishes. from what i saw in the first ep of series we will find out why kara and the purpose also more about the message alec found from his future self.

ep oeuf (egg) will be shown in the uk and overseas but not in the states. 7th may sky living is the first ep

grimm has been renewed for a third season. the 2nd season has been fantastic especially considering how brilliant the 1st season was. the storylines of each ep and the season arc have been great. i wonder if they have julia joing nick in being a grimm.

revolution has been renewed for a 2nd season.

cw have announced that the spinoff from vampire diaries "the originals" will be airing this autumn, hopefully this will last longer than the secret circle and cult.

there is list of shows which are going to pilot, here is what i think could get picked up; Influence, Beverley Hills Cop, Selection, Human, S.H.I.E.L.D, strain.

Strian is about a viral outbreak which that is suspected vampirism. del toro (hell boy, pans labyrinth, devils backbone) is down has the director. FX.

We know about SHIELD and Beverley Hills Cop.

Human is about human cops working with robot cops, jj abrams is attached to it which meant the likes of karl urban (dredd 2012), michael ealy, lili taylor, minka kelly, mackenzie crook have been casted. FOX, another potential big risk like the following.

Influence is like the mentalist, psych this time 2 brothers, genius and con artist, start a pi firm solving cases.

selection,cw, very close to hunger games but less killing. this is the 2nd time it has been put for pilot.

tnt have put david baldacci's king and maxwell book's in to series with jon tenney (the closer) and rebecca romjin (mystique) with Eion Bailey (august booth once upon a time and ben mercer covert affairs) and mira sorvino.

also tnt have two other shows up for pilot the last ship and legends.
