RE: RIP Bang Babes
A comment on the digitalspy broadcasting forum:
" This is dreadful news and a very sad day indeed for quality broadcasting. I think a march on London is due to demand the Bang Babes back."

RE: RIP Bang Babes
Still waiting for Rammyrascal's response
This was so obviously the doing of Offcom, DUH. Bang just wanted to buy themselves a couple of nights, without everyone switching to another channel. It's understadable, but honesty is always the best choice.
Yes, Bang Media is run by idiots who are responsible for their own doom, but you know what, I can't really blame them! They provided us with some great shows, so I'm thankful for that!! It's a shame that they have to be run into the ground because of nudity (On Adult TV! Oh NO!! ). So childish.
Ah well, I want to be hopeful that Bang Media will recover, but even if they do, we aren't going to get anything like the recent Zarwood or solo shows anymore, and that's sad.

We don't yet know what effect those new Dutch licences are going to have.
They run for five years from 28 September 2010.
Don't see how they can affect this
13 Prohibition on providing television services without a licence.
(1) Subject to subsection (2), any person who provides any service falling within section 2(1)(a), (aa), (b), ( c), (cc), or (d) without being authorised to do so by or under a licence under this Part or Part I of the Broadcasting Act 1996 shall be guilty of an offence.
That's UK law. As I think we already know, a broadcaster doesn't need to comply with UK law if broadcasting under a foreign licence.
Edit: I'm no expert, but I think "relevant" is the key word. I would assume that a service is only relevant under the Act if it requires a UK licence, which won't be the case if it has a foreign one.

RE: RIP Bang Babes
Bearing in mind that Bang is still going, online and on two channels. It isn't dead yet, let's not get ahead of ourselves.
Bang Babes was definitely my favourite channel and as I've said, it always has been. But that said, if I'm flicking through the channels, I stop on the babe that is doing it for me best that particular night, regardless of what channel they're on. So ultimately it comes down to the babes and not the channel so this isn't heartbreaking news or anything, but it's still a shame as Bang had the best production values and everything always looked clear and bright, perfect to see their amazing roster of babes.
If babes like Dionne, Tori, Annie etc. end up somewhere like TVX, for 50p a minute or whatever, I'm sure I could live with that. The bigger loss however, is the day shows as The Pad is head and shoulders above everyone else and who knows if girls like Kelly Bell will go elsewhere or maybe just pack it in altogether.
