Well a great point that has just been achieved for Scotland in Dublin, I thought we rode our luck at times but you can't fault the defence as they stood up to everything that the Irish threw at them which ofcourse made for a very tense finish

Full time it finished - Republic Of Ireland 1 Scotand 1

Elsewhere in the group it finished - Poland 4 Georgia 0

Germany are currently 1-0 up away to Gibraltar so you'd expect them to gain full points.

Given Ireland's goal was clearly offside and they got away with a lot of heavy tackles, it is a very good result

Offside yes but Scottish players made a meel of some of those tackles , think Scotland will qualify now

I just had a look at your profile - I didn't know you were Irish mate. I can see things from the Irish point of view, you really did have to win today but a draw might not be the worst result in the world. It would be great to see you lot also qualify as the Irish and Scots historically speaking have always enjoyed the banter together

I tnk the banter between Irish fans is way better than it is between Scottish and English!! but having seen the result I'd say it was honours even, but the one thing I'd hate to see is three home nations in one group (which I know is unlikely to happen) which would grossly fair and unjust.

Theres a simple reason for that and thats because Ireland is on the same level or lower than you. Where as with england its Envy because your never invited to the partys at the end of the season

everyone likes the irish i rememebr in 1994 when only ireland was in the world cup that was a great summer seems everyone in england had an irish relation of some sort and the streets were quiet when the Republic Played like it did when england played
