He's been linked with us, or rather, linked away from Liverpool, for a while now

I'm a big fan of his, but it looks like your lot are asking for £50m, which is way over the top in my book, especially considering his form and fitness (although they are both improving). And he wouldn't fit into our current system IMO

But he is still a world class striker and one of the best finishers in the world and if reports are true that he wants to come to Chelsea, it's hard to say no
On the downside though IF he does come I reckon it'll mean Didier will be off in the summer


Also add this to the £78m we've apparently offered for Ageuro, Godin, Pienaar and Luiz, we have to be careful of not going back to our old ways of flinging money at everything, especially with the new rules coming in for clubs competing in Europe
Although at least it should quiet the people saying Roman's lost interest, not giving Carlo funds etc. which were getting a tad annoying

As far as i'm concerned Nando's an honest lad.He said he'll be at Anfield as long as Liverpool want him.So until i hear the lad say he wants to go then that'll do for me.

What a coincidence that Torres hinted he might leave today "because he was unsure of the clubs direction" and then all of a sudden the club splash nearly 23 million on a new striker!!! Shrewd move i'd say. He can be in no doubt as to where the club are aiming to be now. I reckon Mr. Torres forced the owners hand and got the answer he wanted

Liverpool suddenly up the bid by 10 million from 12 to 22 just when there's a chance they could be selling a certain mr Torres to Chelsea for atleast 35 million, it couldn't possibly for that reason could it ?

Fantastic news. I agree with you Yoda, the new owners have been saying all along that funds are available to strengthen the team. It was time to put up or shut up after such a laughable first offer of £12.7m for Suarez. Existing players will see this as a signal of intent.

I assume that the papers will all be saying that he is the replacement for Torres in the morning. Liverpool wont sell him.

This report of Torres asking to leave all started when Guillem Balague, their Spanish reporter, came on earlier and said sources in Spain are saying Torres wants out and of course Sky jump on it and take it as fact, as they always do with nonsense stories. Torres is in fucking Liverpool not Spain!!!!
