One Body Too Many (1944) Murders occur when family members are in an old dark house in the lead up to the reading of the will. Effectively shot with shadowy cinematography, good set design and the odd creepy moment, the comedy however mostly doesn't work. Starring Jack Haley, Bela Lugosi, Jean Parker,Fay Helm,Bernard Nedell,Lucien Littleford and William Edmunds. 5/10

The Pit And The Pendulum(1991)

A very loose Edgar Allan Poe adaptation from B-movie director extraordinaire Stuart Gordon.Taking audiences back to the Spanish inquisition with effective authenticity and an outstanding turn from Lance Henriksen as the Torturer in Chief.Done entirely straight without any black humour which is generally a staple in films from Gordon, this gory epic is all the better for it.

8/10

I've met the main bond girl from this bond film, the very beautiful Caroline Munro and she signed a model of the Stromberg Helicopter her character Naomi flew in the iconic car chase

Pirates Of The Caribbean: Salazar's Revenge/Dead Men Tell No Tales

The fifth film in the pirates franchise and it's a lot better than the previous film On Stranger Tides

Johnny Depp is again excellent as Captain Jack Sparrow and Javier Bardem is very good as the main villain Captain Salazar. Also Kaya Scoldelario is very good as the new female lead Carina Smith.

Just like the classic first pirates film, Curse Of The Black Pearl, it's an excellent fun enjoyable romp with plenty of very funny laugh out loud moments and some good twists

Action & special effects are very good, Some nice cameos and don't go when credits start as there is a post credits scene immediately after the credits to set up the 6th pirates film

8/10

Stuck(2007)

A stylish, suspenseful and frequently nasty hit and run horror/thriller from director Stuart Gordon. The tension is palatable thanks to Gordon's skill as a director, making the narrative play out like a two person stage play and the wonderful performances from Mena Suvari and the always brilliant Stephen Rea.

7.5/10

Terminator (1984)
Won't do a plot synopsis, cos you probably all know it.
Acting,Arnie, perfectly cast as the relentless, unemotional cyborg, Linda Hamilton, emotionally absolutely believable also spot on in her progress to being something of an action woman.
Michael Biehn the right choice as the hero, both acting and action wise.
Cinematography is very good, especially the night time street scenes, and the soundtrack just the right electronic rock mixture.
Special effects neat for the time.
Time travel scenario is not over complicated and makes sense.
Car chase scenes good and not overdone.
Script witty and to the point.
Film generally not sentimental, which is a bit unusual for Hollywood.
Fine use of 'flash forwards' showing future earth.
Also starring Paul Winfield,Lance Henriksen,Rick Rossovich,Bess Motta and Earl Boen.
7.5/10

Pirates Of The Caribbean: Salazar's Revenge - 6.5/10 i was looking forward to this latest film in the pirates franchise but it really is a mess, Jack Sparrow has become a complete caricature of himself, he spends most of the film in a drunken haze, stumbling from one disaster to the next. In the previous films there was always a method to his madness but now he is just a fool and its left to the other members of the cast to save the day, a flimsy plot does not help. On the plus side the special effects are amazing and Javier Bardem steals the show as Captain Salazar.

Not a complete disaster but very disappointing.
