RE: Blu Ray Recommendations
Actually £10 is a very good price for a Trilogy boxset, especially a new one like Mad Max. I like a bargain as much as the next man but i am more than happy to spend 10-15 pounds on a new release.

I'm not knocking what people spend (their money do what they want with it), as stated, I just paid £14.99 on the beyond which I already have.

Just wondered if people actually sat down and added up what they spend per annum, could be quite a shock like mine was.

Man of Steel. Comes with UV version and the usual extra features. Having seen this at the cinema I can recommend this. Picked mine up today from Sainsbury's for £14 though it might be cheaper elsewhere.

RE: Blu Ray Recommendations
I got man of steel 3D Bluray Steelbook from my local hmv for £17.99 which isn't bad at all for a 3D Bluray steelbook release.

also today I got Dr Who: The Day Of The Doctor 3D bluray which I thoroughly recommend. First of all it's only £12.99 (that's what I paid at hmv) and for that you get 3D version of the episode and a 2D verison of the episode. also get a good amount of extras including trailers, a look behind the scenes of the episode, the two the day of the doctor prequel mini episodes (The Last Day and The Night Of The Doctor) and an ultraviolet copy of the episode

RE: Blu Ray Recommendations
Got two steel books to recommend the first one being shock horror the Man of Steel as people know am a massive Superman and this film had everything loads of kiss ass action scenes, great special effects, stunning sound track and i loved the darker look of the film and one of my films of 2013.
As for the steel book its a lovely looking steel book with great art work on the front but theres none on the back and theres a great piece of art work in the inside of the steel book and comes with a matt finish would have loved a gloss finish.
The picture quality is a 1080p and its stunning and really shows off the great special effects of the movie and colours look really deep and rich, can't review the 3D version of it as i don't have a 3D tv and am not a big fan of 3D.
The sound quality is stunning and really shows off the sound track by Hans Zimmer, its a 5.1/7.1/DTS-HD transfer and on a home cinema system it sounds stunning.
As for extras theres a good hand full on the disc along with a digital copy of the film which has even more extras not found on the disc.
The Sixth Sense steel book looks great, you get art work on the front and back along with art work in the inside and the title of the film on front of steel book is embossed.
Picture quality wish the film looks great with its 1080p transfer along with sound which is a 5.1/DTS transfer and really shows off the sound tracks of the film. As for extras theres a load here on the disc and its down from £6.99 at Zavvi which is a bloody price and well picking up as it was 15 quid at one point and not sure how long it will stay at the price for.

RE: Blu Ray Recommendations
Simply had to recommend this blu ray The Game starring Michael Douglas and Sean Penn and directed by David Fincher one of fav films which i never get tired of watching the basic story of the films is Wealthy financier Nicholas Van Orton(Douglas) gets a strange birthday present from wayward brother Conrad(Penn): a live-action game that consumes his life.
I picked up the steel book version of the film from Zavvi during one of there sales, i really loved the art work on the front and back and also inside art work from the film too it would have been nice if it had have had a gloss finish for the extra touch and i love the black and gold finish to the steel book.
Picture quality wise the film is stunning and is a massive jump from the dvd version with a lot of the film being at night the dark colours and tones of the film really stand giving every image a solid tone and look and it looks totally crystal clear with no sign of grain any where thanks to the 1080p transfer for a 10/10 effort. the sound quality is just as impressive everything sounds crystal clear and its so good you can hear stuff in the background as clear as bell the sound transfer is 5.1/DTS-HD, as for extras theres decent handful available on the disc well worth picking up the steel book if its still available on zavvi at its sale price, a great film which i do recommend getting.

Thanks for the heads up Kalel, treated myself to the I Robot steel book, one of my favourite films and excellent value at £7.99.

Any idea when we will get a Smallville complete collection on Blu Ray?
