Ah, but just because someone assumes a position of responsibility beyond their ability does not make them right - as BS has proved.
I too, see the danger here - the thin end of the wedge - possible outcomes are endless but could include ALL BS channels on freeview going encrypted or the non encrypted channels being severely watered down either in content or format (remember the tiny screen in the corner of the text page they had for a few months: well imagine that with a 'to see full screen pay £10')
I don't think likely to happen soon as BS revenue must come primarily from the £1.50 per min calls at the moment - but if the encrypted channel is successful then who knows...

I do however, make a request to mods - please can we close down some of these threads - there are now at least 7 for Xtreme (and its not even been on a week yet!):
whats on (at last), screenshots, review, 'nice' criticism, 'negative' criticism, on sky, on virgin - and there aren't even any girls on it yet!
Surely Whats on, Review & Technical would be sufficient?

I don't want to deny anyone the opportunity to express themselves, but I think that since BS became so paranoid that he started throwing insults and refusing to read anything that looked negative, these threads have become devisive and are likley to descend to a slanging match.

We have what we needed most (the belated whats on tonight - albeit in minimal terms) so now we can make an at least partly informed choice. So if people want to pay thats up to them. And those who choose not to can keep an eye on the whats on to see if / when they want to take the service.

Its up to BS now (the company not their representative here): let the numbers do the talking!
