Not surprised the deal is likely being announced today. Boris does love a good pr stunt so he can grandstand & boast about just how fantastic a prime minister he’s been. This is no exception, he’ll be going brexit is done and this deal is an Xmas gift to the nation to try and deflect people’s attention from just how incompetent he & the government has been during this pandemic so far

From what I gather 'the public' are just relieved a deal has been made. Especially after a taste of what no-deal might look like in the short term, last week.

Of course you don't get something for nothing, was that what you were expecting?

It won't all be good news. The best we can hope for is there will be more winners than losers on this side of the channel.
