If England top their group and depending how Germany and England progress in the Euros, England could meet Germany in the semi finals

Trap is very set in his way he did well to get us to the tournament but his style does not really allow us to get further as its based on not losing instead of trying to win.

if they top their group and england and germany both win their quarter finals they will meet in the semis! what if england and spain both top their group? can we meet spain before the final? being england thou im probably thinking too far ahead

think iv figured it out lol! if england top their group they play second team in spains group dont they! then germany in the semis if they both win their quarter final and then probably spain in the final

Spain will win so it does not matter how the groups work out they have figured out how to win with or without a recognised forward. England will make a fuss about Rooney coming back but they will as normal fall short.

If the official behind the goal had been on the other side of the goal and therefore opposite side of the linesman on that side then he would have been able to see it. From where the officials were it was on the blind side of all of them. The officials behind goal can alert the referee to anything whether it be fouls, goalline etc

The official behind the goal should have seen it. John Giles brought up something up on RTE. Are the officials behind the goal used only for goal line decisions or can they make calls if a foul has been committed?

Well they didn't win against Italy without a recognised forward

They did not need to

1 czech v portugal
2 germany v greece
3 winner c (probably spain) v runner up d
4 winner d v runner up c (croatia on goal difference, since italy and croatia drew 1-1)

semis
1 v 3
2 v 4

if england top the group they get croatia or italy in 1/4 then the germans in the semis then winner of 1 v 3. england runners up spain the 1/4, czech or portugal in the semis and final against 2 v 4.

either way its going to be tough, if england win with this draw then they deserve it.

roy hodgson should stick with welbeck and carroll up front. replace young with walcott or oxlade-chamberlain.
