What equipment do you have (4:3 TV or 16:9 etc.) What settings have you selected?

For the record, they did fuck things up last night; one of the cameras was not shooting 16:9, though I didn’t notice what effect this had on the 'boxout'.

And yes, last night’s show was even worse than normal, one of the poorest for sometime, IMO, and given how poor these channels are normally, that’s saying something.

Hello Censorship.I have a Panasonic LCD 32ins (HD Ready) television which I have set to widescreen and a Panasonic DVD/Video recorder connected via the HDMI leads and a scart.The television always gives a good picture but I have never stayed up long enough to check the Babestation programme although Party People early in the morning seems all right. But when I playback the recording from the night before I cant see fully the top right hand corner box. It could be that I need to check that the recorder is set up for widescreen as I just record from the EPG guide without checking the picture. I will try and do that sometime; otherwise I am a little confused. Thanks for your interst and concern.

It is difficult to give definitive answers without seeing the problem first hand, but, a few things to consider:-

From what you say, can I assume that the image is filling the screen, and is not distorted e.g. stretched horizontally? The problem is purely that the edges of the picture are missing, resulting in the right hand side of the ‘boxout’ not being visible?

While, personally, I would set the TV to its automatic setting, so that all incoming signals are displayed correctly, as BS is now 16F16 (genuine widescreen), using the widescreen setting should mean that it is also displayed correctly. PP is also 16F16, so if it is displayed correctly, then BS should be, too.

Check the settings on your recorder (I assume that this is how you receive the Freeview signal, as you mention recording from the EPG?).

Try to confirm if the problem exits during the live broadcast, or only with the recording.

How do older recordings look, from when BS was broadcast 12F12 (genuine 4:3)?

Ultimately, if the settings all appear to be correct, and the image is OK except for missing edges, then it may be down to the technical set-up of your TV i.e. how it has been adjusted using internal or, more likely, service menu settings; it may be that, when on the widescreen setting, it has been adjusted in such a way that it displays less of the image than is normal, hence the missing edges. If that is the case, it can be ‘corrected’ by adjusting service menu settings, but this is NOT RECOMMENED as, if you don’t know what you are doing, you can seriously, and I mean SERIOUSLY, mess up your TV

Thanks for your replies. As I dont stay up late enough to watch Babestation on Freeview start I used the "last resort" and read the handbook. I think I have the answer;it says" that a 16:9 recording will be played back in 4:3 mode if EP or XP recording mode is used". So because the programme is 5 hours long and I have to use the EP mode to record all the programme I can only view it in 4:3. It does say that the TV settings "may" be able to be altered but i think I will leave it as it is in case I bugger things up completely! I think I can live with it; at least the main picture is full-screen and very clear without any stretching etc.

By the way was last nights show any good? I didnt think it worth recording as Lori was on and I guessed that there would not be much boobs display. Hopefully tonight will be bette; it must be time for MORGAN again!

In order for me to see full screen from my PVR, I have to set the output to "4:3 full screen" not "4:3 letterbox"

Last night's (freeview) show was the worst so far.
It was Dionne, Lori, Tiffany and Donna.
There were no tits out in the first hour, and not much after that.
50:50 Split screen was used for part of the show.
Dionne was quite good, performing and on the mic.

I haven't seen last night’s show in detail but, from the few bits I did see, it seemed rather subdued. If that is the case, it reinforces my theory that the presence of daytime babes causes the regular, night time babes to tone down their performances, presumably, as instructed. Given that BS is very tame to begin with, clearly, that is not a good thing. If this is happening, then, personally, I would prefer that daytime babes stay on daytime.

Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with any babe doing as little (or as much ) as she are willing to do; its entirely her decision. And if their presence is not to blame for the (even more) subdued output of recent nights, then no problem, but it’s not looking too promising, IMO.

BTW, PL looked much better last night, inspite of a rather nervous cameraman trying to spoil the fun, as well as the HUGE amount of split screen, which also spoils things, IMO.

I didn't see much of the show last night, but with that line up, I can understand the lack of breasts. Lori obviously wasn't going to show anything. Tiffany doesn't seem to show much these days, just a quick flash and hardly both out together. And Dionne, although super sexy and a great laugh on the mic, seems to wear more clothes than the other girls (dresses, jeans etc) and again doesn't seem to go topless much. These are just my opinions from watching the channels for the last few weeks.
To be honest, I think the fact it's on freeview doesn't really make a difference in this instance. I'm not saying these girls aren't giving a good show, but if you want tits out all/most of the time, they aren't the ones for you.
Personally, I'll only watch/record the show if Camilla and/or Amanda are on
