Red Sparrow 5/10 - expected good things from this but it turned out to be just another routine spy thriller, a very predictable plot with no real surprises. At 140 minutes it is far too long and tends to drag in places, there are a couple of nasty torture scenes but not much else. And as for Jennifer Lawrence's much vaunted nude scenes you really don't get to see that much.

Very disappointing.

The Devil Within Her and Chi Del?[aka Beyond The Door](1974)

A pretty decent Italian rip off version of The Exorcist starring Juliet Mills, who is very convincing as a pregnant women carrying the Anti-Christ.Nice makeup effects throughout and some chilling scares make this one worth a watch.

Extremities (1986)

The late Farrah Fawcett is locked in a deadly game of cat and mouse with cold-blooded rapist James Russo in a disturbing tale that can seemingly have no happy ending for either of them. The violence and threat is played out in a relatively calculated, subtle tone without the over the top style of "video nasty" exploitation films of the decade. The film succeeds in creating a debate about the levels of revenge that are acceptable. The ending is very powerful, as lines between rational thinking and insanity become blurred. It was also a stage play in which the two leads starred. Alfre Woodard and Diana Scarwid also star. 4/5

Castle of the Walking Dead(1967)

A euro-horror from director Harald Reinl starring Christopher Lee,Lex Barker,Karin For and Carl Lange.A simple plot revolving around an evil nobleman, seemingly dead for 35 years who then returns from the grave. Some interesting and notable visuals here and there including a forest made from dead bodies and a script based loosely on The Pit and the Pendulum add a bit of excitement but Lee is absent for much of the proceedings and the film meanders without him.

^ I agree (although I'd give it 6/10), it's a throw away film, watch it if you're bored, it will make you chuckle.

Justice League - 7.5/10. It loses half a point for the fucking stupid cgi on Henry Cavill's gob, how long does it take to grow a tash Rolleyes

Thor Ragnarok - 9.5/10. Wow, sure the humour was a little too much every now and again, but fuck it, it was a great movie. Highly recommended.

Adventure · A biologist signs up for a dangerous, secret expedition where the laws of nature don't apply.

Diagnosis : Murder(1975)

A twisty murder mystery from Sidney Hayers about a psychiatrist, strongly suspected by the authorities of killing his wife despite there being no concrete evidence.Great countryside locations, cinematography and an excellent cast including Christopher Lee,Judy Geeson,Jon Finch and Colin Jeavons make the whole thing easily digestible.

A weekend camping trip among six old friends in Northern Minnesota's "Boundary Waters" turns tragic after one dies under mysterious circumstances, triggering further turmoil as they attempt to unmask the killer within their own group.

This is an alright watch with a ending nobody's sees coming...and I mean nobody!!!
