No exit Polls were conducted whatsoever astonishingly we had a representative from the Yes camp and one from the No camp standing at the entrance door and not one of them even bothered to acknowledge any of the voters. Rather unusual I think when its the Country's future that is on the line here.................

(yes, I know, we were all stupid and easily fooled. No voters couldn't possibly have the intelligence to make an objective decision of their own free will )

Your thinking's wrong. The pencils used were the same ones that are commonly used in elections. In other words indelible pencils which make a mark that can't be erased. Your rubber would be useless.

And as for the woman swapping the piles of votes in the video, it looks like she accidently mixed up a few of the votes in each of the trays, then realised what she'd done, and swapped them into the correct ones.

Others have correctly said that pencils are used in every single election right across the country. Obviously with possibly upwards of 50% of the electorate voting when they don't normally do so, they may be certain aspects of the administration of the vote that seemed unusual, but was actually very normal.

On separate point, I'd like to ask the Scottish voters on this thread whether they picked up that pretty much the rest of the UK very much hoped Scotland would vote not to leave? There were a few stupid loudmouths sounding off about the f'in Jocks etc, but what struck me talking to my friends in England was that almost every single one of them hoped that Scotland voted no. There seemed a genuine sense that we shared a common bond, and that it would be really sad if that was broken.

Talking to non-political friends and work colleagues today, everyone was pleased with the result. Scotland should take great comfort from the fact that when serious and genuine thought was given to the subject, England, Wales and Northern Ireland overwhelmingly wanted Scotland to remain within our union of four nations.

As I said in my original post, "I have seen the best and worst of Scotland". You can't judge the people of Scotland by the few bigoted idiots we have - unless you're in the media.

We may have lost but all credit to the Scottish people with this protest on the BBC, one of the many highlights, we showed them.
