It's being reported but denied by Trump that he has told confidants he'll declare victory on Tuesday night if it looks like he's ahead. This has come from three different sources.

Is one Fox News?

It's probably true if he's denying it then. If he actually does that and then loses, the potential for violence is worrying.
I mean the potential for violence is worrying whether he wins or loses, the right are bad at winning and losing, so either way, trouble.

And probably civil war..

I'd be surprised if it goes that far, but there are a lot of gun toting idiots in America, so you never know.
I suppose we'll see what happens soon enough, but hopefully any violence will be dealt with quickly.

People over here that are right leaning keep forgetting one important thing, America's gun culture.

What time are the first results likely to be known?

It should start to get interesting between midnight and 2 AM.

States that are likely to report early, with most of the vote counted, include Florida, North Carolina, Arizona and Texas. If Biden wins any of those, then it looks like the polls were either right or it is Biden - not Trump - who is out-performing the polls. It will then be safe to go to sleep, confident that you will wake to a better world...

On the other hand, if it looks like Trump is going to win those states, then chances are it will be a tight race that’s decided in the Midwest and Pennsylvania ... three days from now. You can go to bed in that case too. Get some rest, cos it’s gonna be a long week
