RE: Ofcom Complain To Dutch Regulator
This is just a ploy to run these channels into the ground. These TVs have safety features on them that any person can use, and little children aren't going to be up at this hour anyway. If they are, then they have useless parents who need the government to do everything for them, which the government should not do. Also, if the rare child was up, they'd likely be more disturbed by the non adult channels which show graphic violence and more explicit sexual content than that of the "adult" channels.
Ofcom knows this, but they have more control over the babe channels, so they like to punish them and make them the scapegoats.
The babe channel producers will prevail though, and will come up with a smart alternative that Ofcom won't be able to fight. If Ofcom wants to run these channels into the ground, then they better be prepared to run any other channel with the same sexual content or violent content into the ground as well.

RE: Ofcom Complain To Dutch Regulator
This is truly depressing news that a feminist website is getting their wicked way into supressing this society even further into the victorian era. If I was Ofcom I would be questioning what they have done as parents/guardians to make sure that these channels are firmly blocked, and if they didn't know how to I would give clear and consise instructions on how to put it in place, when I first joined this forum in January 2010 I had a degree of optimism for the future that we were ready to see a more liberal attitude towards the channels. When I was growing up I allways had a bed time and the only thing that mattered was that the watershed was adhered to. Also I grew up in an era where we simply didn't have the technology available to block any channels that might cause offense but no big deal was ever made as we knew even in the 90's that all tastes had to be catered for irrelevent of what your opinion was on it. I think mumsnet are really trying to justify their feminist views by using children as a very appropriate scapegoat to back up their claims. What ever happened to the word democracy and tollerance. This news has not only angered me but also saddened me that we are now living in a Big Brother society where we are being controlled and our very freedoms are being taken away from us. I am praying that this latest harassment is just a bridge too far for Ofcom and that any efforts they are discussing to put in place are rejected by the Dutch censors. This is D-Day as far as I'm concerned and I really hope for a postive outcome for Cellcast and that Ofcom are sent packing to think again!!!!!!!!! http://www.melonfarmers.co.uk/ow.htm
