Heartbreak in the Mark Hughes household as he leaps up to answer his mobile phone only to be asked if he's ever been mis-sold PPI.

Chuck Norris has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19). the virus is now in quarantine for 14 days.

Seriously though I'm actually kinda gutted about Fergie retiring, English football won't be the same without him (although minor bragging rights in that there's a decent chance Chelsea would be the last team to beat Fergie's United! Big Grin)

Unfortunately I can see Mourinho going there over Moyes

Apparently Moyes is close now to be appointed new manager for next season.

RE: Football Banter
Best manager in British football. His record stands on its own merit. There is a sizeable proportion of the country and indeed, this forum that were not born when Fergie took over at United. He can stand proudly with all the great managers in football.
Obviously he has his detractors who won't ever have a good word for him or his teams. Sometimes he has said and done daft things for sure but I bet most clubs would love to have the next Fergie on their books bringing a similar level of success.
What doesn't get mentioned much is the support and help over the years that he has given to new, upcoming managers such as Moyes. He has often been the first to call new managers to congratulate them and offer them advice if needed.
I just hope now he is moving up to become a director that he continues to enjoy his football. A true United legend

What's with the plastics? This from a Rovers fan who seems to be commenting more about Liverpool lately.....thinking of changing allegience? Wink

Will be interesting to see who is named. Mourinho or Klopp are both great and capable managers but Moyes is a good bet. Fergie wanted him as his No.2 when Moyes was at Preston but he chose to go to Everton instead. This is not a snap decision. United have planned the successor to Fergie carefully over the last few months and whoever gets it will have to have a strong personality.
Funniest comment I heard today was some fuckwit saying Moyes was no good as he had done nothing with a mediocre team.....Errrr? Likely to finish 6th and ahead of Liverpool this season, with a squad built from little money, would not call that mediocre. Hopefully he will bring Baines with him too Big Grin

So you cant comment on other clubs now

One Question What will happen to Wayne Rooney under moyes. Didnt Moyes Sue Rooney for Comments he made in his biography

An unconfirmed rumour but I heard that Rooney has told other United players he will be off to Bayern this summer. There again there are tons of rumours a day at the moment.
