Lack of first innings runs are costing England dear. They had no excuses.
They won the toss and batted first on a perfectly decent pitch and chucked too many wickets away.
They look likely to pay a heavy price.

Yes that first morning was England's main disaster area. A decent pitch but 4 wickets down by lunch.

The latest on the 4th morning after resuming on 78/4 is 107/6. After not opening the innings, Hameed is just coming in to bat at No 8.

I wonder if Cooks position as captain is now in doubt for next summer and next winter The whole team needs a shake up with fresh faces in all areas
