Aquaman
Just saw aquaman and honestly that was one of the best films ive seen all year, a very beautiful looking film with tons of action, i was really impressed by black manta not sure the actors name but he was great, jason momoa and amber heard was really good together i dont really rate them as actors but i think they have found their perfect roles
Patrick wilson's ocean master was the only weak point in the movie but he looked straight out of the comic which was good.
This has been compared to thor which is understandable but for me this was better than the first 2 thor films
And i think this will probably get oscar noms for Best Visual Effects and best costume design
8/10

Gary Cooper and Jean Arthur showed great chemistry together in this classic western from Cecil B.DeMille that dealt with an imaginary romance between Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane.Nicely shot with some snappy dialogue and strong support from James Ellison,Helen Burgess,Porter Hall and Charles Bickford.
Just seen this for the first time and although it doesn't have the wow factor of some of the previous Marvel outings, like the obvious Avengers movies or the stand alone Captain America, Iron Man, Thor or Spiderman movies it still has a lot going for it. The story centers around Michelle Pfeiffer's character and the attempted extraction of her from the Quantum Realm. The story is a simple narrative but has some fairly good twists and turns. The central characters have a lot of air time but it's always great seeing the veterans of the screen coming together in screen, such as Micheal Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer and Laurence Fishburne but overall the stand out in the film, for me, was Evangeline Lilly as The Wasp.
The dialogue at times was a bit cringe worthy in some scenes however the stand out in this has to be the spoken part/scene with the great Stan Lee, his cameo as always is great fun in these films for what little screen time he has.
I liked the addition of Hannah John-Kamen from the series Killjoys, in this movie. She was good as 'Ghost'.
Overall I thought it was good but not great, but saying that, in 4K the effects and picture quality are impressive and there's an Avengers mid-end credit related scene but it doesn't give much away, but anyone that has seen the end of Avengers: Infinity War, will understand it. 7.5/10
Terrorists take over the White House and endanger the President in a rip-off of several action films, most notably Olympus Has Fallen (2013) and Air Force One (1997). I found what I saw of it, about an hour, utterly ridiculous. Shit jokes and OTT nonsense at inappropriate times - including a villain asking another villain during a gunfight if he wants some cake, then being told he can't have it because he's diabetic and security agents performing The Matrix style bullet-time slow motion somersaults. Then getting killed anyway. I stopped watching after that so I've no idea if it got better. I won't lose any sleep over it though. 0/5
The Fugitive (1993)
Exciting crime thriller based on the 1960s TV series. Doctor Harrison Ford is wrongly convicted of murdering his wife and has to evade the authorities to prove his innocence. Relentless US Marshall Tommy Lee Jones is on his tail. Great chase scenes and a very plausible story delivered with excellent performances by the leads. One of my favourite movies, always a thrill ride on every viewing and rightly won universal acclaim at the Academy Awards. I'm pleased that this was the last film I watched tonight and not that above mentioned horse shit. 4/5
