RE: Last film you watched
Sucker Punch 2011(Sky Action) I'd forgotten about this Zack Snyder film who would bring the Watchmen to life later. It is a strange film which blends reality and fantasy and sci-fi together with some very loud music and incredible stunt work too. Also has five stunning beautiful actresses, Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish, Jamie Chung and Jena Malone. Also starring beautiful Carla Gugino and Oscar Isaac(later to be in the Star Wars trilogy)

Synopsis(brief) A young girl is institutionalized by her abusive stepfather, retreating to an alternative reality as a coping strategy, envisioning a plan to help her escape.

Storyline: A young girl (Baby Doll) is locked away in a mental asylum by her abusive stepfather where she will undergo a lobotomy in five days' time. Faced with unimaginable odds, she retreats to a fantastical world in her imagination where she and four other female inmates at the asylum, plot to escape the facility. The lines between reality and fantasy blur as Baby Doll and her four companions, as well as a mysterious guide, fight to retrieve the five items they need that will allow them to break free from their captors before it's too late...
Visually stunning, almost breath-taking in parts and some gorgeous girls kicking ARSE! what more could you want - well nudity but it was rated 12 Big Grin

The Honeymoon Killers(1970)

A true crime adaptation from Leonard Kastle starring Shirley Stoler and Tony Lo Bianco, both in chilling form as Martha Beck and Raymond Fernandez respectively, aka the Lonely Hearts Killers who murdered at least 12 women in the 1940s.A dark but strangely fascinating film thanks to some stylish directing. An interesting bit of trivia,Martin Scorsese was originally hired to direct but was fired due to working too slow.Despite this, many of his completed shots and scenes remain.

My Name is Julia Ross(1945)

Not long after obtaining a position as a PA to a rich widow,Julia Ross finds herself in a mansion with a new identity and a husband she doesn't recognise.A pretty standard B-movie thats a bit too fleeting to create any real chills but is elevated by the performances from Nina Froch,May Whitty and George Macready.

6.5/10

John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum 7.5/10 - if you liked the first two movies then this one is a must, very entertaining but incredibly violent (especially for a 15 certificate )

The Blues Brothers (1980)

John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd reprise their roles of Jake and Elwood Blues from iconic variety show Saturday Night Live in a touching comedy musical from John Landis. The two lead actors' partnership was already well established to American audiences following the success of SNL and they bring their timing, comedic delivery and unrivalled audience wow factor to the big screen. There's a real ensemble cast featuring countless cameos from both film stars and musicians and every number gives an opportunity for a great sing-a-long. Slightly amazed I'd never seen it before, but thank goodness I made the time for it the other night. Great fun. 4/5

Avengers Endgame 8/10 - good but doesn't live up to the hype, Infinity War was far better.

John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum

More dogs and Keanu Reeves killing fuckers for 2 hours.

Not a stretch to say this is my favourite action movie franchise in recent memory.
