i really liked it. i like john cusack so maybe that blinded me. but it's deffo high on my guilty pleasure list.

I’ll stick with ID4 far better Toby Emmerich did i’ll even take The Day After Tomorrow. I love John Cusack but not one his better movies.

loved the day after tomorrow. much less dumb and cheesy than 2012, but i liked both for very different reasons.

i think i might like doomsday movies. who knew?

His performance in Grosse Pointe Blank blew 2012 away now that’s classic film and easily his best movie.

I kinda liked John Cusack in the movie Identity, a good acted movie with quite a few familiar faces in it, good twists and turns and slightly baffling, but imo one John Cusack's good movies.

An old one I remember seeing years ago at Christmas - MASTER OF THE WORLD(1961) starring Vincent Price and Charles Bronson. Set in Victorian times a man who wants to end war threatens countries of the world with destruction unless they disarm their navies, armies and other factions. He controls things from a futuristic air machine. Bronson is a govt agent sent to find out what mysterious goings on are occuring in a sleepy town. He is captured in a balloon along with an arms dealer and his daughter plus her fiancee. Written by Jules Verne and based on two books, it echoes the ideals for peace that Captain Nemo had in '20,000 Leagues Under the Sea' with Price playing the genius Mr Robur. Dodgy special effects but a good cast and worth a watch. Caught it on FILM 4 SKY satellite channels 313 HD and 1 hr later 314 or Freeview channel 45.

Arena(1989)

I was browsing through the choices on Netflix the other night and remembered watching this as a kid when our local petrol station used to rent out videos
It's even worse now than it was when I first saw it,set in the year 4038,a chef named Steve Armstrong becomes the first human being in 50 years to compete in what is a basically an intergalactic mixed martial arts tournament called The Arena.Along the way he fights many an unconvincing alien until he gains a clichéd Rocky style victory.The only saving grace is Claudia Christian who looks beautiful in an early role.

Hollywoodland

This movie is based on the tragic story of Actor George Reeves who played the tv Superman played by Ben Affleck who is fantastic in this role Affleck gets a lot of acting which I do feel his under rated he was perfect in this role. Adrian Brody plays a detective trying to prove that Reeves death wasn’t a suicide but was murdered. The more you find out about his death watching the film and reading up on it things don’t seem clean cut to me. Diane Lane also puts in a fantastic too in her role. The movie was a really riveting and I highly recommend it if you haven’t watched it yet.
