HALL OF FAME Discussion Thread

I would have absolutely no issue with the likes of Danica making it into the HOF. It is not a long service award, not a fan personally but I understand the attraction. Inductees should reflect impactfulness, better the shine brightly for a short time than plod along taking pay checks.
In Danica's 2 main threads she accounted for a combined 7 million + views & one of those threads had the 5th most views by any babe on this forum. Sometimes a babe just captures the imagination & you get a snowball effect & more & more take an interest to see what all the fuss is about. I think of Grace Elizabeth who crashed & burned during the pandemic.
Many of Danica's super fans will no longer frequent this forum, so she falls into that category of great, but forgotten babes along with those pre-forum babes. How we go about giving these babes a fair chance of inclusion will be complex to solve. Some here have already dismissed the thought of a legend or specific era type of category. I just feel this should be as all inclusive as possible.
I will keep reiterating recency bias, clearly an issue when dealing with 20 plus years of babeshows. But I could give many examples of the annual awards were babes who did great shows in November & December faired better than some who did great shows in January & February.

^ not to mention Danica's 'no shows' drew more thread attention than many babes who did turn up lol. And her particiation in that infamous reality show Sex, Lies and Rinsing Guys drew an amusing watch-along thread that got forum award nominated from what I remember. Like Boomer I wasn't that much a fanboy but understood the fascination and recognised the impact she made. It was rather sad to see I was one of the few left around to nominate her.

That alone makes it a must for a commitee based aspect of the HoF who still remember the older days. It doesn't have to be the only aspect, an open member vote can also play another part. It's not meant to be yet another competition, we have quite enough of those, just a recognition of those who shaped the shows.
