Coronavirus - is enough being done to contain it?

Dr Fauci the excellent CDC expert who has worked for 6 Presidents and is leading the scientific work in the USA has been given personal security staff due to right wing nutjobs making threats and accusing him of being anti Trump.

He has been self isolating after he had symptoms this was like monday i think or sunday one day merges into the next

Right this testing thing then, two questions :-

1) How can we be SURE that the people who are carrying out the testing on behalf of the Govt are genuine & work for the NHS?
2) How long would we have to wait for results?

I'm beginning to think there now is a possibility of a long term battle ahead with this thing, it probably could evolve into a superbug if we are not careful. We could be looking at this lockdown becoming a occurrence with each new strain of it
