RE: LIVERPOOL for sale
Gonna have to disagree with you there Phoenix, We've defo got the better deal 1 poor season don't mean shit especially when you've just signed for a team who have had about 15 poor premier league seasons..it's lookin up lad it's lookin up.
Yossi is a decent player when the team is in fullflow but like Babel when the team is playing shit or if Yossi is having a bad game then he may as well not be on the pitch as he has no intention on goin to look for the ball, if it don't come to him he'll never get it, havin said that it's not like Chelsea have many poor games so he may do ok, i doubt he'll make much difference as you've lost both J.Cole & Deco but still not bad for £5.5m.

I don’t deny you’ve got the better deal due to the difference in quality between the two teams (that wasn't a dig btw Wink). We’ve paid you £5.5m for a fringe player, whereas Cole will more than likely be starting the vast majority of games for you.

Like you said, he won’t make much of a difference. But that is kind of why we’ve bought him. We’ve lost Cole,Belletti, Ballack, Deco and Stoch. Apart from Stoch that’s a hell of a lot experience in that list. Benayoun will reimburse some of that experience (champions league exp. in particular) in a refreshed squad that will otherwise be bringing in youth to “replace” the players that we’ve lost.

He'll be happy to sit back and just play when he's needed, whereas Cole didn't want to do that (understandbly considering his success in the first team), and just at half the wage that we would've had to pay Cole

Anyway, like I said gd luck to the fella

RE: LIVERPOOL for sale
This is a joke yeah? if he does come it better only be a lone, he only played about 5 times for Real, he better not be the £12m replacement for Insua, if this is the case then we should of just kept Riera & played him there!!!

RE: LIVERPOOL for sale
He was offered to us in January for about £6m but we got Maxi instead, Maxi is rumoured to be leaving after Roy said he don't want himbladewave he's a good player, you can't judge the guy after half a season.. what the fuck!!! Espanyol want him on loan, yeah like thats a good deal for us, lose a player & get fuckall back great deal.
Insua maybe coming back due to high wage demands??? Pacheco also rumoured to be goin to spain on loan, i wouldn't mind seeing him given a chance this season!!!

RE: LIVERPOOL for sale
I don't think drenthe will be signing for us tbh.
Pacheco is a player that deserves a chance, because he is a quality player.
Maxi is also good and should stay.
As for the left back, he need someone good, but yeah there is a chance Insua may still be with us for the start of the season.
I think its gonna be a good season for Liverpool Smile

RE: LIVERPOOL for sale
Getting rid of Maxi would be a mistake. He's a grafter, more skilful than than he's given credit for, and what's more he likes playing on the "wrong" wing, something Hodgson has done with wide men for his entire managerial career. It's patently obvious that Liverpool need a left back of genuine quality, but with a midfield consisting of Cole cutting in from the left, Maxi from the right, Mascherano (assuming he stays, of course) and Gerrard in the middle and Jovanovic playing tucked in behind Torres or Kuyt, Liverpool are already looking like a Hodgson side.

The apparent signing of Luke Young gives reliable defensive cover for Johnson, the centre backs are fine and if Babel is played in his best position, i.e. behind the main striker and given freedom to roam, then there's every chance of him becoming the player he was when Rafa spotted him, meaning Jovanovic is well covered without the system being compromised. The only problem Roy will have is getting some of the star names to adapt to his methods. It took him a good while to win over the Fulham players, and those players won't have the kind of ego that some of the big names at Liverpool will have. If he can win them over quickly, Liverpool are looking in a good position to do well this season. If the egos get in the way, then things will look much as they did last season, at least until Roy can bring in players to suit his methods and tactics. If that happens, I just hope he's given time to prove himself right in the long term. Given time in a job, Hodgson will always come up trumps in the long run.

RE: LIVERPOOL for sale
I'm not sure what formation you are playing there Gummidge but i get what your sayin.
I hope we play 4-3-3 as the squad we have is taylormade for it, with Gerrard & Lucas/Aquilani either side of the defensive midfielder, Gerrard & Lucas will provide good cover, & goin forward Lucas & Aquilani will flow forward with the play & get in good positions on the edge of the box (both of these players are a lot better than the mass majority give them credit for).
Uptop either side of Nando will be Cole/Babel & Maxi/Kuyt, all but Kuyt can play either side & have a good mix of pace & skill & should get 12-28 goals between them.
Goin on the possible in's & out's & who i think may/should come, Looks like Luke Young is on his way (as a left back, not right as Gummidge said) Nigel de Jong or Mathieu Flamini would be the best replacments for Mascherano, i would prefer Flamini as he is more solid, this is what i'd like to see this season.

Cole Torres Maxi
Babel Pacheco Kuyt

Lucas Flamini Gerrard
Aquilani Plessis Spearing

Young Agger Carragher Johnson
Kelly Skrtel Kyrgiakos Darby

Reina

Excuse the jumble i tried to do it as much as it would let me.
I don't buy into all this the youngsters are not good enough bollocks, nobody's good enough until they're given a go just like Fowler, McManaman, Redknapp, Carragher, Owen, Gerrard & players like Warnock, Thompson, it's about time Liverpool got back to giving the young lads a chance, Spearing, Kelly, Darby & Nemeth are all ready to go & you could add Pacheco to that list & Lauri Dalla Valle is pretty good from what i've heard.
Look at Utd with Macheda he won the title for fuck sake, Agbonlahor at villa will this season be in the England squad, ARRRRRGH!!! annoyedannoyedannoyed... You get what i'm sayin chaps.
Almost forgot that primetime shiit above me can like it's own balls!!!
