Well the twitter twit's owned up to it now and admitted to what he did but claims he's not a racist, he'd just been drinking that day. Blaming the booze is such a common excuse. Anyway Muamba continues to improve but doctors have called for caution at this stage and asked people not to get carried away yet thinking he's recovered, despite the promising progress.

RE: Fabrice Muamba
Well more encouraging news as Bolton manager Owen Coyle says he has held a "brief" conversation with Fabrice Muamba for the first time since the midfielder had a cardiac arrest. It's what I would call a miracle as the player was literally brought back from the dead in which oxygen was deprived of getting to his brain he could have ended up like a vegetable even if they did get his breathing restarted, once again very quick thinking and fast reaction time from the medical staff who did an outstanding job on Saturday, now the man is talking, the way things are going he'll be out again kicking a football about the park in no time. From what started out as a tragedy has turned into something of a miracle. Get well soon and great to hear such a dramatic improvement from near certain death at one point.

RE: Fabrice Muamba
I heard something on the radio today which in a funny way means we have Jose Mourinho to thankful for to some degree.

After Petr Cech received a nasty head injury back in '06 against Reading. Jose Mourinho blasted PL sides for not having certain measures in place in case of such emergencies. Since then PL clubs now have to have an Ambulance on stand by as well as other precautions (there was a lengthy list read out but I can't recall them all now). So although ultimately it was down to the quick thinking and brilliant work of the both teams medical staff, the paramedics who joined them, and everyone else who played a part, some of this story might have been played out so differently if it wasn't down to changes made for the better.

Sometimes it takes a horrific incident or nasty accident for these precautions to be in place. Lessons are learned from mistakes, thankfully what happened to Petr Cech didn't end his life, but ultimately his horror has turned out out to be Muambas fortune.

Great news today about Fabrice as well. He is steadily improving every day Smile

RE: Fabrice Muamba
You know I hate to use football cliches but the horror that almost unfolded really did put the game into perspective and showed what was really important and that is above all the value for human life, to see so much compassion and support given to Fabrice Muamba really does make you stand up and be proud to be a football supporter which recently has suffered a lot of bad press, at the end of the day behind the masks we all put on at a game on matchday we are at the end of the day caring individuals with compassion and not the mindless hooligans which some may be lead to believe. Going to a game is pure theatre and all the chanting is just part of the experience but when something which happened on Saturday, results and rivalary really doesn't enter the equation. Also yes it's great to see that we now have so many medical staff on standby, something that went through my mind was would Fabrice have been so fortunate if this had happened on the training pitch, do clubs have the same procedures in place to cover all eventualities as having an ambulance on standby even in training should also be the case. Anyway a very lucky individual and such a massive relief that he's going to be OK now.

Really, really hope the guy from Swansea who posted that racist twitter message about Muamba is not only sacked from his rugby club, but get a BIG jail sentence behind bars.

Bolton have announced that with Muamba's recovery they will continue in the FA Cup (although no date for playing the Tottenham match again has been set yet).

RE: Fabrice Muamba
Just read this and I must admit it made me gasp, Fabrice Muamba was infact dead for 78 minutes after his heart stopped beating, just how close he came to the grave, what a miracle that he survived against all the odd's. I had a very bad feeling on Saturday night watching SKY Sports news that they knew this and that his death was imminent and were infact just waiting to make the announcement official as the mood in the studio was extremely sombre. The full story of this remarkable tale of near disaster can be seen on this link. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17460781
