The shooting and the RNC convention has muzzled democrats for a while. As soon as the Republican convention is over, I expect there will be a final big push among democrats to get Biden to step down.

Either way, the Democratic convention will be the Woodstock of cringiness!

It will either be a succession of half-hearted speeches in support of Biden, by democrats who don’t mean a word of it. Or it will be madness and mayhem as they try to belatedly unify behind a new candidate.

And the only arrow they’ve got left in their quiver is the so-called “threat” of a Trump presidency, which they’ll be criticised for using because the guy was just shot at.

All in all, it should be a very watchable shitshow, which I will do my best to not watch!
