So Musk bought Twitter promising to make it a free speech platform, calling himself a 'free speech absolutist'. Now he's limiting accounts and even banning people for criticising his immigration visa stance. I guess his free speech charade is over if you're not allowed to disagree with him.

The only "free speech" that people like Musk, Trump & others on the right actually care about is their own, no one else's.

I wonder how many have left Twitter up to Xmas and joined Bluesky?

Ordinary people's opinions are never acccepted by people like Musk. I'm pretty certain that there are a lot of people who have had their Twitter accounts shut down for no real reason at all by Musk with no explanation.

He also promised to not be "political"

Most of the Free Speech Warriors out there just use it to say whatever they want, but get upset about the backlash their words cause. Yeah, you can say whatever you want, but people don't have to agree or like what you say. They fail to see that point. Free Speech is not everyone has to agree with me

Him calling the racists racist on spaces the other day was ridiculous. Oh wait, that was "Adrian Dittmann"

Following the incident in New Orleans I would not beat all surprised if security is raised to highest level for the Inauguaration on 6th Jan.
