The dumb thing they released the first three films on DVD as directors cut's in the silver packaging which I still have but they were still cut. Casino Royale has always been cut you can get that on Blu Ray look for the one distributed by Fox not Sony, the third version of it has the digital copy of it and is by Fox, second version is by Fox but has no digital copy.

I highly recommend picking up Star Wars: The Force Awakens on Blu Ray, I got this three days early I picked up the limited edition lightside sleeve, there's also a darkside sleeve available along with a zavvi exclusive steel book available.
Picture quality wise you get a 1080p transfer everything looks so rich and detailed even right down to the warm and dark colours. It's so detailed that you can see the different textures on clothing overall everything looks so crisp.
Sound quality wise you get a DTS-HD MA 7.1/Dolby Digital 5.1 everything sounds so clear right down to the explosions and the use of force you'll really benefit from having a home cinema system.
Extras you get secrets of the force awakens, deleted scenes, John Williams: The Seventh Symphony, Force For Change, building BB-8, ILM Featurette, The Table Read and many more extras, so there's tons available.
The Blu Ray comes in a two disc with the film being on the first disc and the extras on the second disc, there's no 3D version of film not until from what I have heard till the end of the year, one disappointing thing is no digital version of the film which is disappointing as the region 1 version has it something that Disney for me are very lazy about doing with all there films even with the Marvel films which don't come with either in this day in age it should come with a digital copy as most films do these days considering all Disney region 1 Blu Rays come with a digital copy, considering how much you pay it should come with one.
Dispite that little nit pick I highly recommend picking it up, the images below show the darkside and lightside sleeves along with the steel book version.

how did you get it early? I'm also getting the limited edition lightside sleeve release, not till monday though. will get the darkside one and eventually the steelbook. agree with you about Disney blurays not including a digital copy
think the 3D release is coming out around the time of Rogue One out in cinemas. not the first time a 3D bluray release came out months later than the 2D one. one of the Transformers films was done same way
when I do pick my copy up. I am going to do a star wars marathon and watch all 7 films in STORY order (episode 1 first)
