He came over to Europe to preach to our leaders and now he's been the instigator on the attack on Zelensky in the Oval Office.

The day before at the press call he had a go at Starmer about freedom of speech, luckly Starmer chose to ignore him. Whereas Zelensky challenged what he said brought in all the wrath of the President.

Worry times to think that we've either got Trump for the next 4 years or even worse we have Vance.

Vance asked the question how many times Zelensky had said Thank you to Trump and Vance in the course of yesterday's meeting.

Zelensky asked Vance whether he had actually ever been to Ukraine to see for himself what life is like and the effects of the war.

I think I know which question is the more important .

For all of Joe Biden's failings he did at least behave a bit more like a statesman and actually bothered to go to Ukraine during his time in office.

Vance is a vile narcissist and potentially even more dangerous than Trump.

Zelenskyy has arrived safely at Stansted Airport and I use the word safely very deliberately. At least he can be sure of a more friendly reception here.

It's worth noting that this war has changed considerably in the last year or so. While the longer range Missiles (ATACMS etc) have made a difference, Ukraine has begun to make big strides in its own missile production programme and huge leaps in Drone Technology. We've all seen Russian Armour being destroyed by small FPV Drones and those are overwhelmingly produced in Ukraine.

Also, the longer range UAVs (Drones if you like) that look like small Cessna type light aircraft have been playing havoc with Russian Energy Facilities and the Russians seem to have almost no answer to them.

American Kit has been important, but this war isn't over by a long way.

Considering how much Trump hates Iran I'm surprised he hasn't made an issue of them supplying Shahed drones and short range ballistic missiles to Russia...... oh wait he doesn't have a problem with that as he views Russia as an ally.

For a tough guy who said he'd end the war in 24 hours it doesn't seem to have occurred to him that a threat of American troops and air support in Ukraine would most likely cause Russia to stop fighting

Interestingly it has been announced that King Charles will meet Zelensky tomorrow at the request of the Ukrainian President.

I a am beginning to wonder if Trump did any deals with Putin during the pandemic that we didn't know about at the time.

I have to admit it does seem strange that he, (Trump) has never publicly once denounced Iran supplying Russia, (don't Iran supply HAMAS too in Gaza?) but like you said he views Putin as an ally. I get the feeling even if he threatened to put American planes or troops into Ukraine there is possibility of it having the opposite effect, yet I feel it is possible Putin's known about those minerals longer than Trump has, and surely Putin must wonder if there is a turning point that China could become a threat to him at some point too. How mny Iranians are there fighting in Ukraine at present?
