RE: US TV Shows - Discussion (Inc New Shows/Cancelleations)
I understand the circumstances for why the original actor can't continue in Spartacus, but he was so perfect for the role, will be hard to imagine this new guy fulfilling the part! Hopefully I'm wrong, because so far, the show has been utterly brilliant. I love anything based in Roman times etc

That's true, very important he acts his own way.
The style will I'm sure not change, but the atmosphere might, as the setting is totally different. It won't have anything to do with gladiators anymore, more of a war type scenario. Before anyone says these are spoilers, it's history, the plot is already mapped out!

harlie Sheen pilots new US TV role in Anger Management
Page last updated at 09:31 GMT, Tuesday, 19 July 2011 10:31 UKCharlie Sheen was sacked from US TV series Two and a Half Men in March
Charlie Sheen could be returning to the small screen four months after being sacked from Two and a Half Men.
The actor has a part in a pilot for Anger Management, a series based on the 2003 Hollywood film of the same name.
He said: "I chose it because, while it might be a big stretch for me to play a guy with serious anger management issues, I think it is a great concept."
Sheen was fired from Two and a Half Men in March after a string of rants about the show's producers.
Production of the show was suspended in January after the actor entered rehabilitation for reported drug and alcohol abuse.
With no network currently in place, Anger Management will be produced by Lionsgate Television with Sheen retaining an ownership stake in the TV show.
No additional cast members or production start date have been announced.
'Creative control'
The 45-year-old actor said he thought Anger Management, originally starring Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson, would suit his talents and ambitions.
"It provides me with real ownership in the series, a certain amount of creative control and the chance to be back in business with one of my favourite movie producers of all time, Joe Roth," he said.
The 45-year-old star is suing Warner Brothers studios for $100 million (£62m) claiming a breach of contract after Two and a Half Men was cancelled for the rest of the season.
In May the show's producers announced Ashton Kutcher as Sheen's replacement for a ninth season, due to be broadcast later this year.
After his sacking, Charlie Sheen went on tour of the US with a live comedy tour called My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not an Option.
Two and a Half Men was launched in 2003 and has been nominated for numerous awards, including Emmys and Golden Globes.
Sheen was America's highest earning TV actor making a reported $2m (£1.2m) per episode of the show.
