What tv programmes do you miss or would you like to see return?

The Film remake with Denzel Washington was a good film.

to be honest most of the shows I liked then wouldnt want to be remade would rather they just restored them on to Blu Ray.

That's the American version. I'm talking about the channel 4 version hosted by Clive Anderson. Though it's true some on the American version were regulars on the English version.

Maybe Vic and Bob could replace Ade and Rik mayall there slapstick has always been good

Double edged sword this ...as there's a few programmes I could say but you just know they just wouldn't be as good as they were : either they did all they could, or original actors are no longer around, or maybe too old.......look what happened with Yes Prime Minister, it was terrible when they revived it recently - The Thick of It just made it look pathetic and obvious and irrelevant.

Father Ted was brilliant but just wouldn't work without the original Ted imo.

Black Books with Dylan Moran and Bill Bailey I thought was great - similar mix of real silliness and some good characters/lines.
They didn't do that many series so I think it could be revived but I get the feeling probably the writer felt he'd done all he could with it, so I can't argue with that really.

Too many series I've liked I've seen go down in quality and got repetitive just because they keep trying to wring another season out of them and they've really passed their peak/run out of ideas (just my opinion)

I was also a fan of black books, Father Ted and bottom, they just don't make programmes like them anymore as everything now is just so damn politically correct.

I quite liked Bad Teacher on Comedy Central, unfortunately the network in America decided to pull the plug on the series as rating weren't all that good. If you ask me they are very quick to pull the plug these days.

2 perfect examples of now ranked in the top 10 of alltime British Comedies that also got off to a less than impressive 1st Series are Blackadder and Old Fools and Horses.

With Blackadder the 1st Series was just awful but the BBC showed patience and eventually allowed for a 2nd Series and the rest was history as to say.

With Only Fools and Horses it was just a case of bad luck down to poor scheduling and if it hadn't been for the repeat showings of the 1st Series then that sitcom also would have come to an abrupt halt.

i hope person of interest gets another season, blackstom got canceled and it was a good show. but i would like to see the return of jerico or revolution.
