More than likely long odds on the men in green turning over the Aussies, but if they start out as they did the last match, but keep the momentum (accept 1s 2s and 3s) instead of 'going for glory' they can keep themselves in the hunt. Chasing is their preferred M.O so hopefully the coin lands green side up. Overall, keep the raindrops away

^^ Weather looks grim on Tuesday in Brisbane, total deluge before England's match.

Brilliant!! Is this a particularly unusual inclement weather pattern in Aus or not?? If not, what wise guy organised this international tournament at this time of year??

^^ Not entirety sure, not aware of a monsoon season as such. Ony really dialed in the Ashes cricket in December & January, usually thunderstorms late afternoon, heavy but short lived. What's happening now is longer spells, some heavy, but also that annoying drizzle that we tend to get in the UK. Blame it on climate change.
Anyway, it's spoilt a great tournament, what cricket we've had has been good, with the bowlers generally on top, not much spin, but great pace & bounce, some impressive pace bowling, & the ball has swung more than expected.

RE: 2022 ICC Men's T20 Cricket World Cup
The Australian Cricket Board wanted the tournament in Spring, so it didn't interfere with the Test match schedule or the Big Bash which take place in Summer. October is the second most rainy month in Australia, so they were taking a risk, but the rainfall this October has been more than double the average for October. So I guess it's a combination of bad judgement and bad luck.

Climate change is the irrefutable influence here! Not going to change, so where the window for better weather is known to exist to a greater extent, that is when tournaments should be staged - it is a no brainer!! Even Tests and unilateral series should/must take second place to international multi nation competition (even T20eek)

Your second point 'Booms' is well taken, and points to what should be the adopted policy throughout the sport. It has been great to see bowlers gain an edge with pace bounce - and some movement - particularly for the quicks!! Great to see swing back - like seam movement in many ways - lately a dying art! Again, more of the same would improve the sport no end! Call it back to the future (goes to prove that occasionally the old ways are the best ways)
