The funny thing about Sunday's game is that it's a whole lot more important to the mancs than it is to Liverpool. If we lose it's not going to affect our league position as fourth position is probably out of reach but obviously it will hurt our pride. However, if Liverpool win or it finishes a draw, then the initiative goes to Arsenal in the title race and they can overtake the mancs. That's why a positive result is more important to them than it is to us. So basically the months worth of effort should really be put in by the away team on Sunday.

Personally speaking, all i care about is what our football club does and not what any other football club wins or doesnt win. So as i see it...Sunday is just another game in the grand scale of things. I want us to win it the same as i want to win every other game we play. It just so happens we're playing a team with whom we share a mutual hatred of one another.

Alex Ferguson is untouchable! He has bought the game into disrepute more than any other manager, he constantly flouts the rules wether it be criticising the referees or refusing to give interviews to the BBC. The FA are far too scared of his reputation to even attempt to bring him under control. No matter how well the opposition play he always blames the referee and never his own players. Do not forget it is down to his constant whinging that the so called big clubs are allowed to enter the carling cup after all the other teams, and replays have been dispensed with, denying many smaller clubs the chance of some much needed revenue. And why? just so his team can have a better chance in Europe.

One rule for fergie, one for the rest.

why does he not give interviews anymore on match of the day?

fergie must be shaking in his boots, a 20 grand fine or a touch line ban, after calling the integrity of the referee into question. If every time a manager opened his mouth, the FA simply docked the club a point, they would soon learn to keep their mouths shut.

How does Ferguson buy the game into disrepute? How much did he pay the game so that he could bring them into disrepute? Fucking hell, if this is the quality of posting on this thread then no wonder it's dominated by one-eyed myopic c*nts who listen to what the papers tell them to think without having the intelligence to think things through for themselves. Do you even listen to yourself or read over what you write?

And I don't remember the Football League changing their rules specifically for Ferguson, but for reasons to benefit all Clubs who get into Europe.

With regard to Ferguson's comments the other night, are all you NIMBYs so fucking boring and devoid of your own opinions that you'd rather that all managers went straight into their post-match interviews and gave stupid robotic interviews with boring one-word answers? Anyone remember Rafael Benitez giving a tongue-in-cheek interview where he answered every question with the same answer?

Is that what you all want? Don't you want to hear real views? Don't you want to listen to controversial views? Don't you want to know what people in a supposedly free society really think? Would you rather managers read from some pre-prepared speech that was written hours before the match? Did you all phone Sky in outrage when Kevin Keegan did his famous 'I'd love it!' interview because you'd have much rather that he'd praised the referee etc?

Because judging by the over-reaction to a manager being interviewed whilst extremely high on adrenalin just after a bitter defeat in controvesial circumstances, you'd think he'd failed a drugs test, planted a bomb in the Chelsea dressing room and admitted to planning 9/11!

Honestly, it's fucking hilarious how the Arsenal fans amongst you bleat on about Ferguson and thank the scousers' posts in agreement without any thought of Arsene Wenger's "I deeed not zeee deee inceedent!" comments or the disciplinary record of his teams. And guess what, I always enjoy a Wenger interview because he's one of the few managers worth listening to, and I'd much rather he defended his players on television than played the politically correct card. Ever wondered why Ferguson and Wenger are the two most successful managers in the Premier League? Because they instil loyalty in their players by publicly backing them, not by slagging them off!

Now go away and consider the above, those of you who've nothing better to do than to whinge and whine about other teams than their own; spend some time and money on actually going to support your teams instead of obsessing with other teams. so the beeb do a documentary saying his son his taking bungs which was never proved and thats the reason why he does'nt do interviews anymore on that channel. if match of the day moved to itv then im guessing he would do interviews. why is he flouting the rules by not doing interviews on the bbc after you said nothing was proved? i think hes got every right not to do interviews on that channel. good on him for sticking up for his family, i would do the same!
