Gareth Southgate was spotted at Ewood Park last night, although there is a rumour doing the rounds that Mark Robins will leave Huddersfield to take the Blackburn job. Mark Hughes is also being strongly linked, although some people are expecting him to be appointed manager at Leicester before long.

Considering Dante has been one of the best defenders this season, I think he should be a certainty in that Brazil defence and be partnered by Thiago Silva.

Yes he's been great but Luiz is preferred by Scolari, both are worthy of a place but Thiago Silva has to be in our strongest team and one has to be put on the bench, Dante is strong but doesn't have the speed of Luiz, we have the possibility of playing luiz in defensive Midfield if we wanted to play both but there is little need when we have kaka, Jean, Hernanes for that position, hopefully when Lucas Leiva is at full fitness again he works his way back to that position too and we have still got Sandro to come back from injury we should have a very strong squad for the world cup if every guy is fit

Also we have Rever another CB who plays for Atlético Mineiro who is on par with Dante and Felipe Santana of Dortmund and Naldo of Wolfsburg, I wouldn't say Dante is an automatic first choice pick for the position by any means, the same as Luiz.

Damiao will lead the line at the World Cup surely? Alexandre Pato maybe...? Both better than Fred for me.

I think Coutinho will walk into the Brazil starting 11 next summer. Outstanding player, potential to be one of the best around.

Damiao will definately be in the squad but Fred's goalscoring record is great, he was the leagues top scorer last year at fluminense and very consistant for brasil, just over 1 goal every other game.

Pato if he can stay fit for Corinthians and start scoring regular will hopefully be in the squad too but it really does depends on his injuries too stay away. It is a shame because he has the potential to be one of the best in the world.

I hope coutinho get's to go to the world cup too, if he keeps playing how he is now i'm sure he will make it, he just has to work very very hard because other players for his position are neymar, lucas moura, Hulk, kaka so it will need coutinho to be at his very best form next season.

I think luis fabiano will get picked too, some other interesting players we need to consider i think are Willian, Taison, Ganso and Jadson.

After watching the game tonight against a full strength Italy I think things are looking promising as our very young team managed a 2-2 draw with one of the very best european teams, the only thing I am worried about is the fact we don't need to qualify and the lack of competitive games and constant changing of players on friendlies will prevent the team from geling on the pitch and could be a problem when we play our first real competitive game at the finals.

Heard a South American football correspondant on the radio when we signed Coutinho, he said when both him and Neymar played in Brazil, Coutinho was the kid there was more excitement about. He said if Coutinho can fulfill his potential he'll be the best player in England in no time, one of the worlds best.
