3 - Francis Rossi
I wonder at the selection for this show, as Rossi is not only a man without a trainset (though he claims to want one), but he seems unenthusiastic about starting one, even after Pete uses a 3D Printer to give him a start on scenery. I doubt a follow-up show would find him having actually gone through with it.
LT&BN, wPW
4 - James May
Also an oddity, a fixer rather than a builder. But undeniably a sort of expert.
Pete's big build at Chester Cathedral works out a success, even with last-minute changes of layout.

On the whole, a fair enough series, and I would expect either a 2nd one sometime, and/or a Christmas show with a bigger name guest, eg Rod Stewart.

I am far from convinced about this remake yet?? has nothing like the flow, and subtlety (or indeed sophistication) the humour had in the original!

The North Sea Flood of 1953
Another of this weather series. Its early setting meant a lot of slebs were AWOL, though Pete Waterman still managed to tell us Hunstanton was a good resort if you grew up in the Coventry area. Otherwise, 3-4 related tragic tales, including the Canvey Island catastrophe.

It’s not a remake it’s set 20 years from the previous series.

10.7 Shirley Ballas, Josh Widdecombe and Nicky Spence made the choices. Some got much better results than others.
