Grok's images are fairly vanilla - although I recognise the potential for child imagery in a state of partial undress and non-consensual concerns. If you ask it to fully remove clothes or put on something sheer, it'll come back with ''Sorry, I can't make that sort of image''. It's ok for suggestive, scantily-clad pics, if one puts in the right prompts.

There are loads of AI generators out there that will create sexually unrestricted imagery out of uploaded photo and word prompts.

Sexually suggestive and sexually explicit is splitting hairs somewhat when it comes to underage girls, don't you think?
The fact that Musk has backed down at all, and limited the function to paid subscribers should tell you something.

"But other people are doing it" Well that makes it ok then... Rolleyes

Obviously Musk's profile means he's the one that's hit the headlines, but the law needs tightening up generally.

It's enabling CSAM in the digital world. A bit like Epstein in the real world...

Not sure I inferred that and no its not ok but AI is a new science creating its own distinct problemsHuh

^ No, but your inferrance was, they were just doing it to spite Musk, rather than trying to address an actual problem.

Not quite and I suspect you are nitpicking! The timing is interesting since the UK has had legislation in place to deal with this a while back but has been lax! question is whyHuh suggest you do a bit of a deep dive Big Grin

There's a difference between suggestive and explicit. A bit akin to a daytime TV babe and a web show.

I recognise the concerns about underage imagery and the potential for non-consensual/illegal dissemination of altered images, but Grok is not a sexually explicit AI creation tool.

The Government being lax about something is hardly new, is it.
What size window of opportunity, where Musk hasn't attacked them, should they be looking for before taking action?

That's a false equivalence, unless you're suggesting underage girls are acceptable on a babeshow, as long as it was only daytime tv.

Both of you would make excellent opposition politicians.
You claim to recognise there's a problem, criticise the Governments attempts to deal with it, yet offer no alternative solutions.

As I have already suggested, Legislation already exists to deal with deepfakes ect such as the Online Safety Act 2023! within it are tools to address those concerns Big Grin Thats A Solution

Yes, and what they're actually doing is closing loopholes.
