Looks like Newcastle are safe

Sky sources are saying that Roberto Mancini left Man City earlier today (still to be confirmed).

Last I saw, the press were stating City would be sacking him before their summer tour. He did seem a bit upset that City had done nothing to crush all the rumours in the press so perhaps he has walked out on them.

Mancini has done well and deserved another year, to manage those players and win the league plus one fa cup is a good achievement, I guess the 2 European campaigns are gonna be the root of his sacking and perhaps they were expecting the team to atleast reach the semi final/final of the Europa league last season. Plus his signings apart from 1 was very poor especially on the back of winning the league.

And Sir Alex has said that Rooney has put in a transfer request in.

Man City have said that Mancini is still their manager - but most speculation is that he will be gone within 2 days.

He's gone, theres no doubt about it. Pellegrini will now manage Man City next season.

If Chelsea finish third we could have a situation where the top 3 teams start next season with a new manager, I don't think that's ever happened before
