championship done, relegation sorted looks like the live games will be at newcastle and spurs then, as I understand Chelsea already got champs league football with the massive goal difference you would have to think that.

so wigan play charity shield or whatever its called nowadays though as well don't they? place in Europe as well, wow some achievement! reason I asked about charity shield is cos I thought the championship started that weekend and if it does wigan will be playing catch up already!

You've got to feel for Wigan. Even though the game's up they keep going, keep running, keep putting that effort in. The scoreline is really harsh. I'm pleased for them that they've won the cup, that really was a fantastic achievement, not just the final but also because I believe they won all their rounds away from home.

If they can keep most of their players they should be far too strong for the majority of Championship teams next year. Will be interesting to see how well they can juggle the weekend and midweek league games plus the Europa league games aswell. I remember Birmingham being in the same position a few seasons ago when they beat Arsenal to win the league cup then had to play Championship and Europa league games the following season. I hope Wigan can come back again - been one of the Premier League's most entertaining teams for a good long while.

It's sad for Wigan but last week the game was there for them to win against Swansea but they couldn't do it, that would have taken them to 38 points. Plus had alcarez been playing instead of Caldwell perhaps they would have shut out Swansea

I agree that the loss in the game in hand against Swansea was where it left them too much to do. But I think that ifs, buts and should haves can wait for another time. Perhaps not the time to focus on their failures, more to congratulate them on their achievements and out of respect for Wigan supporters and the game itself, we should wish them well in their efforts to come back.

As for your team you must be thrilled with Walcott's form, he's really coming good just when you need him. Straight shoot out between Arsenal and Tottenham for that last remaining Champions League place. North London will be more divided than ever!

Yep Walcott is there now, just needs to maintain that form for next season.
