RE: Football Banter
Monaco have already signed moutinho, rodriguez, and Carvalho, Falcao is on his way too, they are now pushing to sign Hulk, and strongly linked with Tevez and Dani Alves, also Victor Valdes looks like he could be going there too. These players should all be in the premier league, not ligue 1!
I think it is ridiculous, considering that Financial Fairplay exist i dont see how having only 5000 fans at a game they will be able to stick within the rules, i hope uefa go hard on them and stick to it and ban them from europe.

It will take them years to break even with the prices they are paying and the wages.

Except for the size of the crowd what is the difference between them and teams owned by other rich playboys who's latest fad is to own a football club. Chelsea, Man City, Anzhi among others spring to mind. The trouble is the bigger the outlay from a rich owner, the higher the expectation. These clubs seem to go through one or two managers and coaches every season and because of that never have real stability.
Having said that Monaco could see a major increase in crowd attendance if they buy such a team. Nice is on the doorstep and with the TGV, other major cities are relatively close to hand. No different from fans of United or Liverpool travelling up from London.
