Hard fought too, almost lost to Ronnie in the quarters and to Li Hang in the Semis

John Higgins beat Anthony McGill 5-1 to win the Indian Open, his 29th ranking title, moving him into 2nd place alone on the all-time list.

The level he's competing at right now, when you consider how others have fared in their 40's, is unbelievable at times. I think he would've beaten almost any other player apart from Selby in the world final this year the way he'd played, and the lead he built up.

I think Higgins gets unfairly under-rated, especially in comparison to Ronnie. Also he's got a lovely wife

I've always thought his wife was pretty, but she never gets talked about in comparison to some of the other wives/partners of the players. Glad to find somebody who agrees with me there!

I do wonder how many of those not rating Higgins as highly as he should be are people who have had their opinion of him soured over the infamouse Sunday rag sting operation.

I'd like to see Trump win the World Championship, he's a great player to watch. I do think he needs to sort his focus out otherwise he'll always fall short. I think he's his own worst enemy in that respect.

Since losing to Higgins in the 2011 final, Judd seems to have gone backwards at the world championships. I hope he does win it eventually because he is the most exciting player in the game.
