Neymar has chosen the number 11 shirt at Barcelona, previously worn by Thiago last season.

He's played there a bit hasn't he but it's not like he's been shoved out there every week. He has played behind Van Persie and in midfield as well but i think when he was left out of the Real Madrid game was the final straw. Utd went with 1 striker and it wasn't Rooney and he is not happy to play 2nd fiddle in the big games.

United need to replace him if he goes they cannot rely on Zaha in his first season at Premier League level. Way too risky in my opinion.

Sad news that Vilanova has stepped down from Barcelona with immediate effect due to health reasons. Hope he recovers well.

Benteke has signed a new contract at villa, so they probably gave him a massive pay rise then, why does he need to sign a new contract when he had three years still to run on his old one didn't he? couldn't he just say 'im staying at villa"

When he signed for Villa though he was unproven and under the radar so he was paid accordingly and got a wage that reflected that. Now, after the season he just had, he wants to be paid accordingly again. It's fair enough.

No because that would mean he is paid based on his form and he didn't get a pay rise because he was on form. He got a pay rise because he proved his ability to perform in the PL. If he has a shit season the ability is still there, he just had a bad season

You can't pay people based on form, can you? Wages would be up and down every year. Benteke has proven he is Villa's best player and he should be paid accordingly.

He has had 1 good season when teams didn't know a lot about him. For me he hasn't proven himself as a player until he backs up his very good first season.
