RE: Ofcom's next target
Harry Hill for being painfully unfunny over many years and getting paid a seven figure salary.

RE: Ofcom's next target
Maybe Ofcom will target live football games next because I once read about a guy in the paper who got so furious after watching his beloved Rangers getting beat by Celtic that he threw is telly out of the window. If you ask me could that not be classed as Tv that's harmful.

I don't attempt to wind you up, just add my opinion from someone who used to be involved in it all.
and thanks that is me, and if you click on Ramos in my sig there are more pics.
We may not agree on stuff, but all of us want the same thing, to have a good insutry, which it really currently isnt (and not just because of ofcom) that treats the girls right, and one where decisions are actually made by people who know the industry rather than people who don't, although there was a plan about 3-4 years ago to do that, which went dead.

Do we? From your past posts I'd say you certainly want something different to an awful lot of us - me, certainly!

The industry has no independant overseaer, it has ofcom for broadcasting but nothing for how the girls are treated, which it really really needs.
I wouldn't be surprised by cases of harrassment. Some people become delusional when they either watch a naked woman at home, or work with naked women, as they start to think of them as toys, like you said. I don't see anything wrong with someone from the crew attemtping to ask one of them out, as some of the women have dated cameramen before, but hopefully they'd have the decency to leave them alone if they are told no. Your more likely to come across less decent people when working in an industry like this, which is unfortunate, especially if the women are being mistreated. From what I've seen lately, it seems as if most of the women are comfortable where they work, so that's nice to see. Also, crew members are easy to replace if they cross the line, as the women are more important, so I think that's another reason why many seem to be happy, or at least content in their jobs.
ofcon needs to leave the channels alone. It's beyond ridiculous now that we still can't see a fully nude woman in all her glory, on adult TV. A nude female body is NOT a threat! ofcon can't accept that even classy people with good jobs, like to watch these channels at night, and it does their heads right in

The problem with crew is no one now wants to do it really, well it is the slowest production industry for work as crew. Theatre and other forms of TV are increasing, while adult is decreasing as people know they will be stuck in the industry.
and a lot of the girls aren't happy at all, and put a front on, you wouldn't think it but a lot of the girls have to be fantastic actresses because of the crew.
ofcom is still staffed by people who don't like the industry, i've even said it to them myself when i questioned some guidlines which were published, and was told we're ofcom we make the rules, you're just a producer (which i was at the time), i then did some work for them and managed to make a slight change.
The industry even though you wouldn't think it considering the channels are fairly new in tv terms, are very traditional in that men rule the roost, there aren't many women crew and there aren't many women at ofcom who have enough authoirty to actually change the industry for the better.
I don't think ofcom should back off fully, they should still be there, but no where near as much. and there needs to be an independant overseaer for the industry, otherwise the industry will be no more.
