He starts off somewhat successfully, and persuades some First Nation types to play along. But wouldn't you know, after getting some reports and then having the skeletons buried, his work is inexplicably affected by THINGS UNKNOWN. Many computer findings are wiped, and he claims someone he knows gets "possessed". Where's Arthur C Clarke when you need him? (repeated elsewhere is the answer)
