From the "thin man up a thick cliff" file, Alex Honnold climbs the fearsome El Capitan, having havered about it, had a couple of falls he tactfully blames on his girlfriend, and discussed his emotional problems. He starts one attempt in the dark and wisely packs it in quickly, but his actual nerve-wracking attempt has better light.
The Devil's Gorge
From NHK, the saga of the Seti Gorge in the Annapurna range, previously unexplored, until these two blokes found a way to set up base camp and then risk life and limb to take cameras through. Simply breath-taking television.

He was a WW1 veteran, founded the Society for Sensible Dress in the 1920s, became a writer and adapter, and eventually an actor in his 60s, as well an all-round good egg.
TBF - Stanley Holloway
Comic and dramatic actor, also monologist. Oddly managed to get this act into some of his films, which would be really weird these days.

Cyprus 1974 - Landing For Peace
The long and violent struggles between Greece and Turkiye for control of bits of the island, as this week represents the 50th anniversary of some particular event.
