A slight adjustment from previous seaside bashes, here she met superstar (!) Anita Harris, and sang sea shanties and painted pebbles.
SC's GDOBTS
7.6 Eastbourne
Beachy Head, and Aled Jones. Also, a miniature railway, ice cream and a lighthouse converted as a B&B.

Talking Comedy: Les Dawson
Mostly Parky and Wogan, but a couple of other oddities like the Plomley show. His final piano playing is worth it for seeing Parky's house band cracking up (shades of Eric & Ernie meeting Andre Previn).

A Passion for Churches
John Betjeman visits sundry such establishments in the "Diocese of Norwich". Telly they don't make any more.

Brad goes to the Dominion Theatre, scene of his breakthrough Royal Variety Performance, and then the Comedy Store. I should have emphasised he's talking to other comedians, not just celebs.
BWCL
3/3 Double Acts
One good thing with this series has been its breadth of examples. They can't cover everybody, but they managed to include George Burns & Gracie Allen here, as well as Les Dennis & Dustin Gee, besides more familiar examples.

Overall, an impressive and entertaining series.

Whicker's World - Aboard the Orient Express
Alan fails to bat away complaints that he just hobnobs with the rich and famous. Though on this journey Nigel Dempster and Liza Minnelli are about the only recognisable people enjoying this "premiere" journey, from London to Venice.

The Bottom Line
Steve Clemons talks to Jeremy Scahill about the chances of wider Middle East war, and then Trita Parsi about how Iran might retaliate to increased provocation without triggering worse issues.

Global Public Square
Maria Corina Machado talks to FZ about how the Opposition won the Venezuelan election by a landslide really, honest.
