Coronavirus - is enough being done to contain it?

The Professor over the Oxford Univerity trail for a vaccine to tackle coronavirus says they need just 30 infected people to tell them if it works.
She's still saying that it could be available by September.

Even Cressida Dick Met Police Commissioner was there!! Government needs to get tough with those who were there & and make the bridge off limits when most of us stood on our doorsteps and clapped or were indoors obey lockdown rules you get idiots doing this.... total double standards shown by thr police prescene.

I imagine that is somewhere near where they play!! I wonder what training they could be doing if they can't use an ice rink to train? I can imagine the impact the virus is having on the Olympic qualifiers

Manchester Storm play in Altrincham next to Altrincham Train Station, so will be in Altrincham most likely or in Manchester City Centre

The uk ice hockey season has finished, it was cancelled about a month ago. Teams though are already signing players for next season & some clubs have already got season tickets for 2020-2021 season. I’ve already renewed mine

The world championships that GB Ice Hockey were due to be playing next month have been cancelled till at least next year.

No news yet on how the Olympic Qualifiers will be affected

I hsve heard from a friend in Italy that the are plans in Italy to ease things their restrictions in first week of May. I would think out Government will probably see how Ital handles their easing before they do anything here but I think we may wait a little longer thn Italy before easing.

The Government said in their briefing yesterday that the ventilators designed by Dyson - at a cost of £20m - and 10,000 had been personally ordered by the PM himself no less for the NHS - had no longer been needed. Sir James Dyson hopes his design may be able to help other countries.
