It was fun to hear the Suez debacle described as "tripartite aggression". She was part of a surrealist collective called the Art and Freedom group.

2.8 The final is held near Urquhart Castle, next to Loch Ness, which is tricky for the stencil dude. The commissions go somewhat well, and the winner turns out to be the mainstream choice.

2.9 The winner's commission is of Petworth House, some gaff associated with Turner. Also a repository of many, many great paintings, so not a bit daunting. The place was also chosen to mark the 300th anniversary of the great Capability Brown. After all the build-up, the guy paints 2 pictures, one proper one and a jokey companion piece of the first done as a postcard on a rack; both very good indeed.

Mercifully SA seem to have halted these repeats, allowing me a break from art.
