This year's UK City of Culture, famous as the city where I had maybe the best Yorkshire pudding I've ever eaten. This show was about the opening ceremony, with top "Bradfordian" Steven "fka Dynamo" Frayne.

5.5 Back to Gateshead for the Tyne Bridge (and more), and Kate disappears again, under the guise of being pregnant. One might think these two eps were filmed a) out of sequence, and b) much later than the other heats. Rather blows the myth. Two retread contestants, and oddly almost all 8 main contestants pick an identical viewpoint, at odds with the full span of the bridge.

14/20 Morag Caister returns to talk on Painting With Lines, and even has a live model to work with, though it seems both a bit boring and a bit under-skilled.

Handily timed to clash with the hostage release, FZ brought Mustafa Barghouti back for the first time in 15 months, and effectively pitted him against an Israeli podcaster, Haviv Rettig Gur, who confidently expected the three-phase deal won't get to phase two.

Mull first, where she filmed Balamory, and where they both get stung by jellyfish, and then on to Iona, where they end the series with a skinny dip.

Overall, an excellent series, and they do mention what they might cover in a follow-up series, so I hope there is one.
