The Daily Show w/Jon Stewart
John Oliver pre-empted the return of his show with a special turn here welcoming the Americans' return to "British" (i.e. empire) ways. Guest David Remnick tried to make 100 years of the New Yorker sound interesting or desirable, but these days it's hard to agree.

Having presented the similar Gold series, she gets to share her own views here, often about Smack the Pony. At least they brung up her Taskmaster run.
LoC, wLH - Romesh Ranganathan
They don't mention his TM run, unsurprisingly. They both loved Desmond's.

Late Night w/Seth Meyers
Bill Murray and Jon Hamm are good guests, but almost secondary to hype for SNL's imminent 50th anniversary special.

Wogan - 1st ever show, repeated as part of Eastenders celebrations (Wendy Richard being a guest). More interesting to see (an early?) Rory Bremner, Tina Turner singing and briefly chatting, Elton John ditto, and Terry slipping over when joining Elton after his song, much repeated.

LOC, wLH - Alexei Sayle
Last one in a short run - old mates apparently, though Alexei seemed to find the whole premise a bit thin. Len hit back by discussing Carry on Columbus.
