RE: UFC
What a mess this is:
Quote:The controversial decision in the Demetrious Johnson vs. Ian McCall fight at UFC on FX 2 has gotten even more controversial. Scores for the fight were read in favor of Johnson as a majority decision, but there was confusion initially in the cage.
Ring announcer Bruce Buffer proclaimed it a majority decision for Johnson, but announced that both Johnson and McCall had taken cards of 29-28 in the fight. It was then reported that Johnson had two cards of 29-28 with a 29-29 card for the majority.
However, UFC President Dana White revealed after the event that the Australian governing body for the fight screwed up the scorecards. The fight was actually a draw, with Johnson taking a 29-28 scorecard and two judges scoring the fight a draw at 28-28 and 29-29, respectively. Had that been read correctly initially, the two would have engaged in a contracted "sudden death" round to determine the victor.
Now, however, the two fighters will be put into a rematch to determine an opponent for Joseph Benavidez, who decisively won his tournament fight against Yasuhiro Urushitani.
UPDATE: Edited with the correct scores of the draw. One judge gave the first round a 10-10, then split the last two for the 29-29, another gave Johnson rounds one and two, giving McCall a 10-8 third round for a 28-28, and the final judge scored it in Johnson's favor 29-28.

The following is UFC related because they own Strikeforce. Check out the main event fight for the Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Championship between Miesha Tate and Ronda Rousey from Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey which ended an hour ago. Great fight.
After two years I've finally given myself an avatar and a signature as well! It's like a bus, you wait for one for ages and two come at once!

As the PM you were all sent stated this:
UFC Openweight Predictions Grand Prix
UFC on FX:Alves v Kampmann
Friday/Saturday 2am & given the event was held in your adopted homeland of Australia, along with a week of promotion & domestic media coverage your excuse is feeble & will not be tolerated. This is the second time you've annoyed me this weekend, don't make a habit of it!!!
All you need to do is ask groundnpound how to go about it should you want to appear in front of.
